Edamame With Garlic & Soy

Bean loves edamame but little dude cannot shell them well enough to get any of the little beans inside and it frustrates him to no end. He hates letting us do it for him and it often turns into an issue. As long as he doesn’t see us open them for him, he’s good.

While he was distracted this morning, I defrosted and shelled a bag of edemame and mixed up some yummy for his tummy.

  • 16 oz. edamame, frozen
  • 1/4 c. soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp. garlic, minced

Directions: Defrost frozen edamame per package directions. Remove beans from pods. Put beans, soy sauce and minced garlic into a mason jar and shake gently to mix. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes and enjoy!!

If you aren’t going to eat them immediately, I would suggest draining the soy sauce after an hour in order to keep the flavor nice and mild. If you leave them for longer, they are going to be super pungent.

Also, y’all gotta get a bottle of cheater garlic…
