Since J.D. is gone for a couple of days on a work trip, I stayed up way too late to catch up some some mindless TV while Bean and Belle slept beside me. After a couple of hours of Bean snoring, he started talking in his sleep…
“If I be good boy, I can be Raphael. I can be Ninja Turtle. I can fight bad guys.”
Poor little dude wasn’t just dreaming of being a superhero, he was dreaming about being a good boy so he could earn the toy we’ve been storing as a reward.
So, I snuck Raphael’s Twin Sai into bed and tucked it next to him so he could find it in the morning.
Around 4:00 in the morning, he fully wakes up and finds Raphael’s Sai in bed with him and quietly freaks out because he thinks everyone is asleep…
“Thank you, Jesus! My mommy give me Ninja Turtle tools because I’m be good boy! I can save Belle! I have Turtle powers! Cowabunga, dude…”
At which point, I started laughing and I hear a quiet whisper…
“Thank you, Mommy.”
“You’re welcome, Bean.”
“No, I am Raphael.”
Disclaimer: I added an Amazon affiliate link for the toy that Bean freaked out over.
Because Halloween is fast approaching, we were happy to find that Target has all Ninja Turtle weapons on sale for $7 each. That’s an awesome deal for Donatello’s Bo Staff and Leonardo’s Katanas, but Amazon has Raphael’s Twin Sai for $6 and Michelangelo’s Nunchaku for $3.
If you want to get ALL the weapons, it’ll end up being around $33, if you’re creative with your shopping.
